Tony Chen is CEO and Co-Founder of Govzilla, Inc. (owner and operator of FDAzilla). Tony began his healthcare career at Merck & Co., where he was one of the first emerging leaders to be chosen as part of Merck's Manufacturing Management Development Program. Among other accomplishments, Tony successfully led a multi-national project team that streamlined a critical manufacturing process in the Asia-Pacific Region. The project methodology Tony developed was subsequently adopted as a corporate standard in parallel projects for the North American and Latin American regions.
Tony also worked in the technology transfer office at NorthShore University HealthSystem, a teaching affiliate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Tony led efforts to market and license a diversified patent portfolio that included several novel compounds, molecular targets, and medical device innovations.
Tony has a passion for aggregating and synthesizing business intelligence, as evidenced by his founding of a health care blog in which he recruited 3 health care CEOs to blog and collectively produced 800+ articles. The blog was acquired by a prominent web publishing company, FierceMarkets, Inc., in 2008. He has also covered the pharmaceutical/life sciences sectors as an equity research analyst for Zacks Investment Research.
